Elcometer 224 Digital Surface Profile Gauge
Elcometer 224 Digital Surface Profile Gauge
Fast, accurate surface-profile gauge for flat or curved surfaces up to 500 μm (20 mils) with ±5% accuracy. Built for the field with a rugged IP64 body and a long-life tungsten carbide tip, it captures 50+ readings/min and shows real-time stats and alarms so you can get in, get the numbers, and move on. Choose Integral or Separate probes; step up to Model T for memory, batching, and Bluetooth® to ElcoMaster®.

FAQs
What surfaces can it measure?
Flat plates and convex/curved blasted steel and similar substrates, from 0 to 500 μm (0–20 mils).
What’s the difference between Model B and Model T?
Model B covers core measurements and on-screen stats; Model T adds Bluetooth®, large onboard memory, batching and trend graph review for faster reporting.
How fast does it read?
Typically 50+ readings per minute (about 25/min with the convex probe).
How durable is the gauge?
IP64-equivalent dust/water resistance, impact-resistant casing, solvent-resistant screen, and a replaceable tungsten carbide tip designed for long service life.
